Foundation Design for Your Project
Slab-on-Grade Foundations
Structural design for concrete slabs and supporting foundation elements for garages, shops, and other agreed building types. We develop slab, edge, reinforcement, and support details to suit the project loads and available ground information.
Frost-Protected Shallow Foundations
Design of shallow foundation systems with a project-specific frost-protection strategy, where suitable. We consider the building use, heating conditions, site information, and insulation requirements when defining the design.
Screw Pile Foundations
Engineering for screw pile foundation systems and their connections to the structure. We coordinate design loads and required pile information with the supplier or installer and identify installation records or verification needed for the agreed scope.
Grade Beams
Structural design of reinforced concrete grade beams and their connections to supporting foundations. The design considers how loads transfer from the building through the beam and its supports.
Residential Basement Foundations
Design of basement foundation walls, footings, and related structural elements for new homes and additions. We coordinate wall openings, building loads, and connections with the project drawings and consider the available site and ground information.

From Project Information to Foundation Drawings
1. Share Your Plans
Tell us what you are building, the location, and your current project stage. Include any available architectural drawings, ground information, and foundation preferences during follow-up.
2. Confirm the Scope
We identify the design information required and outline deliverables, fees, and anticipated schedule in a proposal. We clarify any geotechnical, supplier, or site-review requirements.
3. Develop the Design
After approval and receipt of the required information, we develop the agreed structural design and drawings. Construction reviews and follow-up services are confirmed separately in the scope.

Can you help choose the foundation type?
Yes. We can review the proposed building, site information, and foundation options within an agreed scope. Suitability depends on project conditions; a foundation type cannot be selected from a photo or address alone.
Do I need a geotechnical report?
The information needed depends on the project and foundation system. We review what is available and confirm whether further ground investigation or geotechnical advice is needed.
Do you provide stamped foundation drawings?
Stamped structural drawings can be included in the agreed scope. Tell us what your contractor or permit authority requires so we can confirm the deliverables. Approval by others is not guaranteed.
Do you install screw piles or build foundations?
Our service is engineering design and agreed review services. Construction and pile installation are performed by your contractor or installer.
What does foundation engineering cost?
Fees depend on the foundation system, project complexity, location, available information, and deliverables. We provide a proposal after clarifying the scope.
